Southeast Side

Southeast Side Neighborhood Association

The Southeast Side Neighborhood Association is located on the Southeast side of Evansville in a rectangular area bounded by Covert Avenue, Vann Avenue, Pollack Avenue, and Weinbach Avenue.

We were founded in 2010 when we had a surge in crime and wanted to help improve our area.  Up until then, most of us did not know each other.  We did walks through the neighborhood to pass out information so that all who were interested could join us. After our efforts, in addition to seeing a noticeable decrease in crime in our area, we also built stronger relationships with our neighbors.

We have done special projects for back to school and Christmas. The Adopt-A-Kid for Christmas program at Caze School makes sure children from needy families have some special gifts they might not otherwise receive.  We are an annual sponsor for an Evansville Youth Baseball Team.  We make sure these kids have gloves, cleats, and other equipment. We enjoy watching our Team play their games at Vann-Pollack Park.

We participate in cleanups at Vann-Pollack Park on a regular basis and also at National Night Out. We have a picnic each year to celebrate our anniversary. We share news of our events and welcome all our neighbors to come.
