Eastview
Neighborhood Association

The mission of the Eastview Neighborhood Association is to promote and improve the quality of life for a majority of the residents within the neighborhood.

The Eastview Neighborhood Association was founded in 1994 via a group of neighbors led by Harriet B. Kimmel.  The purpose of our association was a simple one, to promote and improve the quality of life for all residents within the neighborhood.

We have worked towards our stated goal by working on several projects with township, city, county, state and federal agencies, entities and officials.  Additionally, we work with other entities and agencies, both public and private, profit and nonprofit, in an effort to improve the quality of life for our residents.

Since our founding, the neighborhood boundaries have expanded to the current area, bounded by the east side of South Weinbach Avenue, the south side of Pollack Avenue, both sides of South Walnut Lane to Kathleen Avenue, both sides of Kathleen Avenue to Vann Avenue, and both sides of Vann Avenue to Interstate 69 along the south.  One feature within our neighborhood is Vann-Pollack Park, home of South Youth Baseball.

Eastview has endured many changes since its founding, but as neighbors and association leadership change, we continue to move forward, evolving as needed to continue the mission.

Some current projects include updated crime watch signs, National Night Out participation, working with our EPD Crime Prevention Officer, team sponsorship and volunteering with South Youth Baseball, Vann-Pollack Park Clean-Ups, and membership within United Neighborhoods of Evansville.
